The Asset Strippers at Tate Britain on Sunday 15th September
We will meet at 1:00pm just inside Tate Britain main (river facing) entrance. From here we will walk the short distance to Mike Nelson’s huge industrial installation ‘Asset Strippers’ to discuss tactics, then we draw and meet back at Asset Strippers at 2:45. Loads to draw, especially high quality paintings, sculpture and installations, people of all shapes and sizes and architecture including the Caruso St John rotunda.
Mike Nelson has scoured on-line auctions of company liquidators and salvage yards to amass a collection of objects that are emblems of now defunct British industry, and full of geeky details for drawing.
