A sketchers feast……. housed in a vast (45,000 sq ft ) disused paper factory, Mercato Metropolitano is a celebration of Italian street food, on a scale worthy of Milano. The smells and the sights are overwhelming, the exotic produce fascinating to draw, all among the hustle of the foodie community. Turn your hand to the texture of lobster, celeriac, squash and asparagus in monumental spaces, crammed with people – all game for sketching.
Gather by 11:25. Nuno will meet, introduce the location and motifs and suggest drawing tips. Sketch from 11:35 and meet back at 1:30 to look at the crop of sketches. Newcomers – arrive and lurk purposefully with your sketchbook in evidence and you will be greeted. Bring a sketchbook and favourite drawing materials.
